JOB SUMMARY:

The role of the Technology Solutions Specialist is the design, qualification and presentation of Securitas Technical Solutions, which include turn-key visual surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection solutions.

  1. Will be required to work with internal and external customers to define their security technology requirements, introduce specific technologies from within the Securitas Technical Solutions product line which meet those requirements.
  2. Will assist the field in pricing and designing the Integrated Guarding Solutions based on turn-key offerings.
  3. Will assist in drafting proposals and statement of work (SOW) for the solutions to be offered. May be required to present/review them with the external customer.
  4. Must be able to research specific technology questions or topics and be comfortable with formal presentations or “chalk talks” of various technologies. 
  5. Will be required to complete a bill of materials for a technology solution for small projects.
  6. Will be required to estimate labor costs and work with external entities to deliver labor pricing for small technology solutions.
  7. Will be required to create descriptive solution diagram to identify placement and general network topography for small solutions. 
  8. Will be required to calculate and deliver maintenance pricing for current and new solutions.
  9. Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:

Candidate must have a general understanding of small standard technology packages (ACS, IDS, FDS, CCTV) and be able to identify the components of a video surveillance system. Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience: 

  • B.S. degree preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Professional Certifications or training (Axis, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.) preferred

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

Technical

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a Pre-Sales/Solution Architect role with a Value Added Reseller (VAR) and/or a Technology Manufacturer
  • At least 1 year of previous sales or client management experience
  • Strong competency in MS Office Suite
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills are mandatory
  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks without supervision
  • Interpersonal skills and professionalism are critical
  • Good troubleshooting techniques
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making
  • Ability to pursue and achieve professional certifications
  • Fluent in Visio and MS Office Suite

General
