JOB SUMMARY:  Manage Cash Application. Responsible for all functions within the Cash Application Department. Support the regions and branches in related matters; assist VP of Financial Operations- Billing, AR, and Credit- with projects and reporting.

  •  Responsible for all Cash Application processes and their coordination across operations centers
  • Manage the Cash Application staff for optimum productivity and accuracy of work
  • Review daily/monthly cash reconciliation, COA, and unapplied cash reports
  • Monitor quality of work and staff’s productivity
  • Support the regions and branches with inquiries and Cash Application related matters
  • Ensure company established policies and procedures are followed and staff is adequately trained
  • Manage staff’s efforts in resolving AR variances timely
  • Review and audit bad debt write-off transactions
  • Address client EFT/ACH and wire setup requests
  • Oversee all intercompany payment activities
  • Monitor monthly credit card statements; ensure accurate allocation of fees at the branch level
  • Assist Accounting with Bank reconciliations as needed
  • Interact with external departments, regions, branches, and senior management
  • Assist VP of Financial Operations- Billing, AR, Credit - with projects and reporting

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  College Graduate, 8+ years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.

COMPETENCIES (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable and Billing Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of accounting fundamentals, P&L’s and balance sheets
  • Working knowledge of computerized systems, preferably Oracle Cloud  
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Good managerial skills and ability to motivate people
  • Accuracy and attention to detail is a must
  • Knowledge of standard office procedures and practices
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in office productivity software MS Office, including advanced Excel and presentation applications.
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to carry out multiple assignments concurrently.
  • Skill in clear and concise oral and written communication.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and handle project assignments responsibly.
