JOB SUMMARY: Provides administrative payroll support specific to assigned Region, performing a variety of regionalized payroll functions which include but are not limited to, vacation payment processing and related research, garnishment setups, answering garnishment Interrogatories, and Union processing.  Provides assistance with other tasks as needed such as bonus processing, employment verifications and W2 requests. Provides quality customer service support to assigned Regions, District Offices and employees, researching and resolving most questions.  Assist other regional payroll staff and Supervisor as needed.

Review and process vacation research request forms submitted from field offices by reconciling employee vacation accrual amounts in payroll system against hours worked and plan type utilizing both Legacy System, Oracle and Info WFM.

Process assigned regions monthly and weekly vacation and PTO reports for payment including review of reports for completeness for pending Legacy Reports and follow up with branch offices on discrepancies.

Performs detailed review of all vacation requests submitted for payment for ERISA governed states and per vacation plans to ensure compliance.

Assist with various vacation projects for clients and union plans to perform research and providing summary of recalculated accruals for any necessary payments and adjustments. 

Processes activities related to wage assignments, including, state and federal tax levies and other garnishments within assigned Region.

Answer garnishment interrogatories for specific states including providing amounts withheld to the Courts and Attorney’s or Plaintiffs.  

Process monthly Union dues reports and prepare check requests to fund for assigned regions.  Assist office with questions related to setups and stops or refunds of dues.  Assist with related research for any union discrepancies.  

Assist with other areas within Payroll such as bonus processing, employment verifications and W2 requests or answering questions from employees or District Offices. 

Communicates with field offices and associates to respond to questions regarding payroll issues.

Assist Supervisor with maintaining written procedures for job related functions.

Provides quality customer service to the assigned Region. 

Additional duties and or projects including filing as needed and assigned. 



Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Minimum of 5 years of payroll processing experience and fast paced customer experience

Ability to effectively supervise team members, work as a member of that team and organize work activities for other members of that team.

Ability to analyze/interpret complex data; interpret day-to-day business objectives, preparation/execution of operational practices and work programs

Results oriented individual with strong customer service skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a team environment and provide positive influence and feedback

Adapt to conflicting deadlines and priorities established by company demands



Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting or equivalent

Two year’s plus experience or equivalent in payroll or accounting

Experience in a shared service environment and solid understanding of payroll cycles

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud & PeopleSoft payroll systems preferred

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud & PeopleSoft Query reporting preferred

Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.

Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical concepts including computation of rates, ratios, percentages, averages and reconciliation.

Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications including Internet Browsers, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and/or other database software packages.
