SUMMARY: Actively participate in the generation of the National Sales Group (NSG) proposal development efforts by assisting with the coordination, development and delivery of high quality, professional proposals tailored to large clients and individual vertical markets. Provide support on all aspects of proposal development.

  • As directed, assist in the creation of bid responses to prospective national and strategic customer opportunities. Work in a collaborative role with the NSG as well as the regional and local sales organizations
  • Using the RFP library and other appropriate resources, generate high-quality, well written responses that are both strategic and tactical in nature.  Working with the other members of the NSG team as well as outside subject matter experts, ensure that our responses are clear, concise and persuasive
  • Meet RFP deadline(s) by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review and approval
  • Track data and coordinate RFP requirements with contributors
  • Stay current on trends within the security industry and more importantly on the strategic direction of Securitas to ensure that our proposal responses reflect the most up to date information about service offering and customer benefits
  • Be an active participant in the strategic development of conversations in advance of the actual bid response preparation.  You are expected to use prior successes and failures to drive how we respond to a particular RFP question and how to best position Securitas to be successful in our commercial endeavors
  • Resolves issues and obstacles that may negatively impact national proposal development and delivery
  • Generates and provides reports when requested
  • Contribute to the creation of standardized response and marketing materials as needed.
  • Work with various platforms regarding RFP development

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: The following are the minimum qualifications which an individual needs in order to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of this position.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism or Marketing strongly preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of proposal development strategies and techniques is preferred.
  • Creative writing and/or business language writing experience preferred
  • Experience with Excel, pricing models, policies and strategies highly desirable.
  • Detailed understanding of policies, procedures, corporate support structure.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Ability to think strategically, synthesize business data and develop/implement innovative solutions is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of applicable computer software programs, including Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated experience in working in a fast paced, highly dynamic environment, as well as the successful management of multiple competing priorities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Ability to  interact at all levels
