JOB SUMMARY:  Manages the daily financial, operational and client servicefunctions of a Securitas Mobile Services operation, including patrol, inspection, shared guarding and/or response.  Supports line management in attaining short- and long-term objectives for profitable revenue growth and client retention. 

Distinguishing Characteristics:

Primary job function is management of a patrol, inspection and/or response operation.  This job description applies only to salaried positions performing essential functions of the nature described, with the authority to make independent choices, free from immediate supervision, in significant matters that affect the business, or to carry out tasks that are directly and closely related to such work, no less than 50% of the time.If a position performs such work less than 50% of the time, and/or performs routine duties that are also performed by subordinates more than 40% of the time, it should be classified as: Mobile Supervisor.

  1. Manages a patrol, inspection, shared guarding and/or response operation, including supervision of subordinate officers and any supervisory staff; ensures that personnel deliver high quality service.
  2. Ensures that service expectations are being met through regular contact with clients; evaluates service quality and initiates corrective action in a timely manner as necessary.
  3. Analyzes operational and financial indicators to improve performance; ensures that operations are carried out to generate profitable revenue growth.
  4. Meets regularly with client representatives for status updates and addresses any actual or potential problems; assists in negotiation of client contracts; provides support during client start-ups; provides support in security planning, assessments and surveys; reviews and updates orders or directives related to assignments.
  5. Oversees, participates in, and coordinates with line management the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, development and retention of high caliber staff; acts to ensure that each staff member is treated with dignity and respect; plans, assigns, and directs work; coaches employees, and carries out disciplinary actions, as necessary.
  6. Assists in development and administration of the Mobile Services operational budget.
  7. Maintains a positive, professional environment in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures; acts to ensure that staff members understand and comply with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures.
  8. Within scope of client contracts and assigned duties, authorizes appropriate expenditures including equipment, supplies, and vehicles; acts to ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and administers driver training; ensures adequate inventory of uniforms, radios, etc.; maintains and submits payroll records and other associate and business information.
  9. Prepares and coordinates staffing schedules with line management; ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs; reviews reports to ensure that commitments have been met and client directions have been followed.
  10. Provides input to company initiatives; promptly assists line management in the resolution of legal, financial, human resources, and administrative issues.
  11. Performs tasks and duties of a similar nature and scope as required for assignment. 

Job Requirements

Education/Experience:  Associate’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in a field related to the security industry and/or business management, and responsible experience in the security industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company. Additional relevant experience can be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.

WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

  • Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
