JOB SUMMARY:
Observes and reports activities and incidents at an assigned client site, providing for the security and safety of client property and personnel. Precludes unauthorized access to facilities, and the conversion, theft or intentional destruction of physical assets. Responds to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response as dictated by the situation and protocol. Makes periodic tours to check for irregularities and to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment. Preserves order and acts to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises.
This position requires at least two years' of Law Enforcement experience and graduation from a recognized and bona fide law enforcement or military academy in the US.

MINIMUM HIRING STANDARDS
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.; experience in physical security, military service, law enforcement or a related field, sufficient to meet the minimum requirements for state and local licensing and/or site standards as established by the company.
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers.
Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for armed security work and specific protective device and weapons qualifications.
Knowledge of security operations and procedures including use of personal protective equipment.
Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
Ability to be an effective team member.
Ability to maintain professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances.
Courteous telephone manner.
Ability to adapt to changes in the external environment and organization.
