JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as lead facilitator for department planning and decision making and is responsible, within defined scope, for the day-to-day operation of Group IT. Develops, analyzes and manages IT’s annual operating budget; develops and writes justification for budget requests; coordinates and leads department planning efforts. Consults regularly with CIO and management, as needed for direction, advice and collaboration or intervention in departmental matters to help to ensure the smooth functioning of our organization.

Direct Support of the CIO

  • Coordinates and serves as principal source of information on established IT policies, projects, administrative systems, and procedures.
  • Act as a delegate representative for the CIO. Manage priorities, discussions and opportunities where decision and authority are most needed.
  • Meeting preparation and follow up: ensure IT teams have all the information necessary to be productive.
  • Works with IT teams to set strategic priorities, help identify areas of focus as well as metrics for success. Evaluate progress of set metrics.
  • Manages and drafts internal communications, newsletters, reports and presentations.
  • Coordinates agendas for approval, organize conferences, and other special events.
  • Assists in planning and managing the Divisional and Global IT budgets. Analyzes and makes recommendations on expenditures towards a defined budget or project. Produces budget and performance reports.

Project Management and Alignment

  • Oversees large, cross-functional, organization-wide projects or initiatives
  • Bring together important stakeholders and help drive decisions. Maintains documentation, provides information, research, statistics, and analysis.
  • Identifies and prioritizes improvement opportunities. Proposes the creation of new systems and processes to streamline operations.
  • Helps determine key performance indicators and update dashboards as needed.

Talent Management

  • Partner with HR to assist with the recruiting, hiring, and onboarding process of leadership and staff roles
  • May assist in training, coaching, and delegating work to other staff members, seasonal and temporary workers
  • Assist with coordinating quarterly and annual reviews with direct staff
  • Aligns the direction of IT to meet company goals and objectives, by accomplishing additional related duties as required

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor degree (BA/BS) required
  • 2-4 years of successful and progressively responsible related experience working within IT environment for a large global company (as employee or consultant)

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Project management experience with excellent planning and organizing skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office suite
  • Interpersonal savvy. Relates openly with diverse groups. Able to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
  • Communicates effectively with different audiences, among technical and non-technical teams, and different position levels
  • Manages complexity with critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Nimble learner. Learns quickly when facing new situations and experiments to find new solutions.
  • Action oriented, taking new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
