The role of the Electronic Security Specialist is the qualification, design, presentation, and facilitation of sales of Securitas Protective Services Solutions, which include turn-key video surveillance, access control, and intrusion detection solutions.

  • The Electronic Security Specialist will work closely with an assigned region’s personnel to ensure strong customer service by managing expectations, executing on commitments, and providing support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Promotes the use of electronic security technology applications as a service solution that adds value for clients and drives profitability for the Company.
  • Will be required to work with internal and external customers to define their security technology requirements, introduce specific services from within the Securitas Protective Services capabilities to meet those requirements. Will assist the field in pricing and designing the Integrated Guarding Solutions based on turn-key offerings.
  • Assists the field in reviewing Integrated Guarding Solutions provided by Solution Engineers before presented to internal or external client.

Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in a business-related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Professional Certifications (Axis, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.) preferred and can be obtained as part of the position

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):Technical

  • At least 1 year of previous experience in a Pre-Sales/Solution Architect role with a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) and/or a Technology Manufacturer.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of physical security systems, including video surveillance, access control, intercom, and intrusion detection.
  • At least 1 year of previous sales or client management experience.
  • Understanding of service industry cost and profitability drivers
  • Strong competency in MS Office Suite, Adobe  
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills for customer service and service delivery
  • Ability to manage time and balance multiple tasks without supervision
  • Interpersonal skills and professionalism are critical
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgment and decision making
  • Ability to pursue and achieve professional certifications
