JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for analysis and administration of the Company’s various compensation and benefit compliance/human resources programs for field and shared services associates. This position reports to the Compensation & Compliance Manager.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Administers the Company job evaluation process, development of job descriptions, and maintenance of the job architecture and other Compensation programs. Processes Company incentives, merits, and other pay programs.
  • Participates in wage and salary surveys; analyzes survey results.
  • Prepares recommendations of compensation adjustments according to findings, utilizing knowledge of prevailing rates of pay and special compensation programs for professional, technical, operational, sales, supervisory, managerial, and executive personnel.
  • Performs special studies at the direction of Supervisor or Department Management; ensures confidentiality of employee data, analyses and management reports.
  • Conducts activities to support compliance programs, including compliance-related aspects of Affordable Care Act, time off (vacation, PTO, sick), prevailing wage, and living wage.
  • Organizes all notifications and determines next steps for appropriate response to all notifications under the guidance of Supervisor.
  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of policies to be compliant with laws and regulations, including minimum wage, incentive, auto-allowance, time off and leave programs, etc. Contributes to the creation of employee, vendor, and compliant communication materials.
  • May work with other corporate functions, field personnel, and external parties on inquires and year-end activities. Ensures quality and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Analyzes current processes, systems and methods used, and seeks improved method for administration of compensation/benefit/HR programs.
  • Serves as a member of various teams and committees as required.
  • Performs all other assigned duties of a similar nature and scope.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 2 years of exempt-level human resources/compensation/benefits experience, or an equivalent of experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification preferred.

Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):

  • Understanding of human resources/benefits concepts, methodology and regulatory environment, including ERISA, FMLA, the Affordable Care Act, time off programs, compensation and other benefits-related programs.
  • Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in various PC applications including Word, advanced Excel skills and knowledge (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables and macros), PowerPoint, and database software packages, including vendor systems.
  • Knowledge of and skill in the use of PeopleSoft and Oracle HCM preferred.
  • Ability to analyze financial and other data and developing recommendations.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret various internal and external documents and reports and provide solutions to management.
  • Skill in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from internal customers and external parties such as regulatory authorities.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and project management skills.
  • Strong customer service and results orientation.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to be an effective team leader and member and to handle project assignments responsibly.
